1. Today, I went on a private photowalk with three lovely ladies. We explored the amazing Lakeshore East architecture. Our tour started in Millennium Park—the only spot I photographed. Then, we visited Aqua and St Regis. Here are a few shots I took. First up: The Bean. I focused on the reflections of the pavers in its metallic surface. I also captured the mix of cool and warm tones from the sun and shade.

The contrast between warm sunlight and cool shadows added depth.

I was talking about different ways to approach photographing the Pritzker Pavilion, and one idea I suggested was experimenting with ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). To my surprise, I was actually pretty happy with two out of the three shots I took, where I tried moving the camera in a way that captured the implied motion of the architecture.

Next, the lighting on the corrugated steel section of the pavilion was great. I also really love how the brushed stainless steel picks up the red hue of the seats, giving off a subtle pink tone.

One last shot with the contrast of those red seats reflecting + the blue sky.
