Long on my list has been to get some drone shots of the ice patterns on the lake or river. With this cold snap we’re having, I took the opportunity to head over to Navy Pier + the lake near Ohio Street Beach yesterday.
The river hadn’t yet frozen over but the lake had some areas with cracked ice and some interesting patterns. I also grabbed a couple of wider shots while I was there.
I prefer most of the shots in color this time but there are a few that make for an interesting take in black & white.
I always love how the orange ladders look against the blue lake. You can see it in the drone shot above but here’s one ground shot I made.
